Pasco Innovative eXperiences & e-Learning (PIXeL)

At Pasco School District, we believe in harnessing the power of 21st-century technology to make learning not just informative but truly immersive. The Pasco Innovative Experiences and e-Learning (PIXeL) Academy is our exciting initiative that empowers K-8 students to thrive in a dynamic online platform of instruction. Here, learning comes to life in ways that are both engaging and impactful.

PIXeL is remote learning with parent coached instruction. The program is 80% Synchronous, meaning teachers and students engage with course content at the same time, and 20% Asynchronous, meaning the teachers and students engage with course content at different times.

Comprehensive Curriculum

PIXeL Curriculum is the same curriculum used in the brick and mortar schools for K-8. Students receive their hands on materials to participate from home Math books, ELA materials, hands on science materials, hands on PE materials, etc make the program come to life from home with support from certificated teachers!

Learning with Teachers

In the virtual world of PIXeL Academy, students are never alone. Our experienced and dedicated teachers are there to guide and support them every step of the way. Through real-time interactions, students can ask questions, seek clarification, and participate in discussions, just as they would in a traditional classroom.

The Benefits of PIXeL Academy

Flexibility

PIXeL Academy offers students the flexibility of learning from home.  Students are instructed by teachers for 80% of their day via Zoom and provided Office Hours for specific questions and needs.  Students are also enrolled in Music, PE and Robotics as part of their day.

Our online platform is not just a substitute for in-person learning; it's an immersive experience that utilizes multimedia and interactive tools to bring the curriculum to life. Learning becomes engaging, inspiring, and unforgettable.

While students access their education from the comfort of their own homes, PIXeL Academy fosters a strong sense of community. Students collaborate, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships with their peers and teachers.
